This position requires the ability to accomplish assignments with limited supervision, perform diversified mechanical, electromechanical or electronic technical duties in fabricating, testing, debugging and documentation of moderately complex to complex assemblies, sub-assemblies and simple engineering development models and/or adaptations of standard product and new processes and equipment maintenance.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

•Electronic and mechanical assembly and trouble shooting of the equipment

•Basic processing equipment assembly and alignment

•Mechanical adjustment, calibration and repair, based on process analysis and specifications

•Perform routine process analysis to verify accuracy and completeness of established process

•Provide on-line technical support to Production

•Collaborate with Engineers to achieve reduced manufacturing costs and quality initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

•Graduated from high school, or passed GED/HiSET

•Progressive technical certifications

•2+ years of technical experience in Manufacturing

•General metrology skills (eg., experience with machinist microscopes, calipers, ROI, and weight scales)

•Knowledge of Plastics Processing and Plastics machinery maintenance

•5S and Lean Manufacturing Skills

•Excellent manual dexterity

•Good verbal and written communication skills

•Good mechanical problem solving skills

•Ability to use bench top test equipment and custom manufacturing test stations

•Clear understanding of EHS requirements.

•Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word

•Ability to escalate equipment downtime

•Experience with all requirements of electrical LOTO, chemical handling and hazardous waste guidelines

•Knowledge of the English and Metric measuring systems with the ability to perform mathematical conversions to each

•Contact outside vendors for purchasing of materials, components, fixturing, and outside services

•Ability to provide concentrated visual and mental attention

•Ability to work overtime as required

•Ability to work well with others

•Ability to work well on teams

PREFERENCES

•Good electrical problem solving skills

•Ability to read, and redline engineering documentation (eg., execute IQs, EBRs, equipment documentation)

•Experimental techniques: Maintaining a Lab Notebook, Statistics knowledge

•Experience with GMP requirements and medical industry requirements

•SolidWorks modeling experience

•Minitab or statistical software

•PLC programming

•Able to define PM procedures and review/maintain spare parts for the equipment

•Experience in process and tooling development, test method development, data acquisition and analysis
