+ Support the identification, prioritization, and validation of customer needs.

+ Define and maintain product requirements to satisfy customer needs.

+ Define and manage system and sub-systems requirements.

+ Lead in the technical definition and realization, by leveraging existing in-house technologies or solutions (China and oversee) as well as thru external partnership.

+ Lead in the definition and implementation of verification validation activities to ensure that product requirements and quality system requirements are being met.

+ Make pragmatic trade-off between time-to-market, product costs, product reliability, product features, and project resources.

+ Produce DHF related deliverables based on Medtronic China and/or ET product development procedure requirements, depending on project strategy.

+ Produce and present timely periodic status reports, and other reports as required.

+ Collaborate with different functions across borders.

+ Be involved in shaping monitoring of projects scope, deliverables, schedule, resources, and costs required.

+ Be involved in business case / proposal.


1. **Education Experience Required**

+ Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering or equivalent (polymer or biomaterials background and Ph.D. preferred).

+ More than 8 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in the Medical Technology or Health Care industries.

1. **Experience Knowledge Required**

+ Extensive experience in polymer/biomaterials development, formulation, processing, characterization and in vitro/in vivo testing.

+ Extensive experience in design and development of interventional and/or implantable medical devices; track record of commercializing class II/III devices in China and/or oversee.

+ Experience in 1-2 of the following field: cardiovascular, neurovascular, oncology.

+ Sufficient knowledge of ISO 13485 quality requirement, China FDA requirements, clinical and manufacturing requirements of related products to explore navigate product RA pathway.

+ Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Able to work in direct, cross-functional, cross-geography and cross-cultural teams.

+ Able to lead in the brainstorming of innovative ideas / solutions.

+ Driven, self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

+ Able to work effectively in matrix environment.

+ Able to travel domestically and internationally.
