**EMEA REGIONAL IT SHARED SERVICES LEADER**

In this role you will provide leadership and direction for the regional IT Shared Services organization through subordinate management and/or high level exempt professionals. In this position you are responsible for supporting the process and technology capabilities within the supply chain, BI, and manufacturing business environment, specifically applying those capabilities to the needs of the specific region. As the EMEA Regional IT Shared Services Leader you work with the business through Sr. leadership and their staff within the region, and collaborate closely with the global process leaders to ensure standards are deployed where possible and if exceptions are needed those follow the appropriate governance process.

**A Day in the Life**

We offer you a position where you will manage the development of global strategies and tactical plans for the business operations IT function (organization planning, technical planning, financial planning); Next to this you ensure employees are involved in the process and understand their part in the plans. You provide guidance to subordinate leaders and staff to ensure successful completion of departmental objectives. As the EMEA Regional IT Shared Services Leader, you are accountable for talent management within the regional operations organization including hiring, retaining, and developing employees.

As a member of the leadership team for IT Shared Services, you contribute to the overall strategies of the Global IT organization and participate in setting the vision and goals of the broader organization. As the Leader of this organization you are expected to drive strategic technology roadmaps in support of current and future business capabilities.

As a member of the regional business Sr. Leadership team, we expect you to represent the needs of the business back to IT, as well as bring the IT vision and goals to those management teams to ensure we are utilizing current capabilities, and developing new capabilities where necessary and prudent. Next tot this you sit on the staff of VP of Supply chain for the region, as well as other Sr. Management staff either directly or through delegation to staff members.

The EMEA Regional IT Shared Services Leader is responsible for the successful implementation of SAP (Centerpiece) capabilities in the EMEA region, as well as the global implications of the decisions made as a result. You will be working collaboratively with the rest of Global IT, drive to the appropriate decisions that enable global enterprise capabilities.

Evaluate, negotiate, develop and manage preferred vendor relationships to provide Medtronic with the highest value, lowest overall cost with highest quality service globally are part of your responsibilities too. You lead regional vendor bidding and formal Request for Proposal processes. Furthermore you monitor contract compliance on an ongoing basis and evaluate pricing and quality of services against Medtronic’s requirements.

Lastly you will be responsible for integration of process and systems regionally in support of the integration of Medtronic plc as the business requirements dictate. Next tot his you will make recommendations and consult with the business on appropriate system strategy, financial investments and impact, and timeline of activity.

**Must haves**

•Bachelor or Master degree

•10+ years’ professional IT management experience

•Experience with managing business relationships

•Knowledge of enterprise systems

•Global leadership experience.

•Knowledge of business process capabilities

**Nice to haves**

•MBA/Master’s Degree

•Advanced degree in Computer Science or business related discipline

•Strong leadership and people management skills

•Strong communication skills, including communication with employees, clients, upper management and vendors

•Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)

•Ability to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients and vendors

•Broad business knowledge and experience

•Knowledge of SAP and JDEdwards in an enterprise environment

•Experience supporting and delivering core capabilities through SAP technologies
